These are in no way traditional potstickers… I am not claiming that they are. But I will claim that they are delicious. Serve these at a party and they will be the star! They can be made ahead of time and kept in a warm oven so they make the perfect appetizer and have even appeased the biggest meat lovers I know!

They are tangy and savory, with just enough crunch while still being chewy. Serve with my special dipping sauce and experience your taste buds being forever grateful!

Fried Potstickers

  • 1 Tbs Olive Oil
  • 2 tsp Sesame Oil
  • 2 Vegan Sausages (I used this brand)
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 2 Green Onions chopped
  • 1 tsp grated Fresh Ginger
  • 2 Cloves of Garlic diced
  • 2 Tbs Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp Chili Garlic Paste
  • 1 Tbs black seseme seeds (optional)
  • Potsticker wrappers (make sure they are vegan)
  • 2 Tbs of oil for frying

Dipping Sauce

  • 4 Tbs Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tbs Rice Wine Vinegar
  • 1 Tbs Sesame Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 chopped clove of garlic
  • 1 tsp Chili Garlic Paste
  • 1 Tbs maple syrup
  1. In a large skillet, heat up both the olive oil and the sesame oil.
  2. Add in the white parts of the green onion, cabbage, garlic and ginger. Cook for 1-2 minutes over medium-high heat and then begin to crumble the sausage into the pan.
  3. Cook over medium-high heat for 4 minutes, stirring continuously. Add in the soy sauce and garlic sauce and cook until the liquid reduces slightly.
  4. Remove from heat and begin assembling the potstickers. Do this by dampening your fingers with water and running along the edges of the paper. Using a tablespoon, spoon the mixture into the center of the paper and fold over to make half circles. Crimp the edges together and make sure they are completely sealed. Do this until all of the mixture is gone.
  5. Heat 2-3 Tbs of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the skillet is hot, add in 6-8 potsickers at a time. Do not overcrowd the pan.
  6. Cook for 2 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Remove potstickers from skillet and place on a baking sheet lined with something absorbent (either a clean towel or paper towel. Do this until all potstickers have been cooked.
  7. Serve immediately or keep warm in the oven on the lowest setting.

Dipping Sauce

  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and whisk until combined.
  2. Enjoy!
